I really did check with the DB Bahn folks at like midnight and then after Regina camped out on my Hostel couch...at 5 am...then even again at 10:45. All times they said no, not need a reservation , " don't need no ticket just get on board "...this with my Euro Rail Pass. So I was a little puzzled when most of the seats were taken, many saying something about Hobanhauf to Berlin somethin. Finally I had to stand I between cars...and did not so screen saying Munchen htbhf , some numbers etc. THEN TWO key things struck me: 1st the clock time on screen said 11:14 and I knew my train was to leave at 11:15...we had been going for 5 minutes...hmmm? Are German trains ever moving early??
2nd thing was seems like at noonish traveling south/SUD the sun should be kinda on my left...you know EAST...( you know my sense of Direction is as high as my sense of Fun. I know German trains are great but I was pretty sure they could not go north to get to the south by some short cut??
Luckily I was able to see Leipzig the second time thru.....AND ...and this is important....I got to meet another group of late traveling Bruce Fans....I wondered down to their car and sorta joined their JOY. ...YEAH ok told a few stories. I had a totally wonderful connection with Flo, Susanne, and Pe Tra from Munchen.
