Found A Miracle. Bruce.

Link for Bruce Fans. Spent several hours relooking for this footage. I guess kinda fits with my sorrowful self at the moment. This time of year, this time of my life just so low.

At some point I really should take a few screen shots of my computer "history file" it tracks my recent 'discovery' of Bruce. …from early spring thru my trip to connect with him. Geeze about 80% of the web pages I hit were BruceLand. I probably need to post this because I know quite a few of my BruceLand friends I met all over Europe really don't believe I only found Bruce just several months ago, Gad it is still just 9 months ago…yeah heard him in the movie, ..on Fire, you know the story.

So here below is link to this special song, the version he does on the end of some DVD, Essential Bruce or hmmm it's a DVD? heck you other guys know this….I saw it before I left to Europe…then tried to describe it and find it for my new Bruce Friend = Regina N in Hamburg… tool a while back then, mid July. So just last night I was trying to share it with my good friend Diane in Seattle and looked for like 2 hours, amid internet connection probs, youtube acct lost playlists [didn't I save it to my Bruce Boss playlist??]  So there we are me describing this clip, about the rareness, the starkness, the darkness, amid the tears of awe, she can tell I think it is special…I remember the words floating along. = your strength, your strength, your faith, your face?, your love…so she pops up that is INTO THE FIRE.   I check setlist . fm, metro lyrics ..oh yeah oh yeah that's it May your Hope Give Us Hope, May your Love….yeah I think, repeating hauntingly ,,Bruce sorta in a corner, sparse.
So I search and search, cannot even find on my youtube channel…just not finding it …oh yeah lots of covers, posts with lyrics etc.  finally at almost 11pm i give up , missed my ice-cream, sorta did not notice dinner go by/in.
I get home…man on a mission. Go to bruce dot net…purse my history file even,,, when did I last or first see it?  hmmm so there on his album list, sure the Rising has it,,,was there some funny ad on at the end? Gad I must have the physical DVD upstairs somewhere,,,, but want to find on line.
  OF Course Bottom Line Coming  I click next album to Essential Bruce.  and there on song number 42 is what?? Yeah Countin' On A Miracle..  The penny drops, duh, Brogan from Seattle had lost it but now I am found….Miracle…check lyrics …oh yeah,,, whoops that was the song. 
 Quick look back to youtube and pop !! There it is.  Oh yeah I forgot I took me  about 1/2 hour to re sign into BTX forum, where you can still see my lame, frustrated request for info. hmm in fact there on BTX, it took me like 4 tries to recover my password ,,,maybe me eyes were getting slow, it is by now almost 1:00 am.
So sure enough I edit my posting to reflect my slow brain work…like I say there ..Oh Nevermind…

I realize this blog post is a lot of verbiage…perhaps for my own processing I suppose. But here are the lyrics…..First for Countin' on a Miracle.  And then a chorus from Into the Fire….see sorta of excusing my mistake, Hey there are some very similar words, repeats.  ..You all remember I always said " I am a late Bloomer, but a Quick Study." well maybe not as quick these days???

I may ask over on BTX or Greasy Lake about the history of this little amazing clip. I mean look at it. Is it not amazingly special? And quite odd really. He's in his pre show type every day  shirt.
Sorta back in the corner, hair slicked back or seems less?
He is just strumming along.
[remember I really don't know many of his songs and am a bit deaf anyway and certainly non-musical]
But I follow along his words ..he is playing with them, messing with them, not really the official order or repeats. ..sorta slurred into and through them. Skips some passages….it all works of course..but kinda different.
Then there is the camera work. I mean who was shooting that?.. Moving up so close shots, seems like inches from his face sort of milling around,, right up to the guitar. Gad it is even Black and White right? and edited from what footage? must have been several cameras right? quick shots from close then far right and back and forth.

And Here is how I got confused because of these lyrics from Into The Fire. .. are these two songs related, yeah of course written by Bruce, but wonder what time frames, Rising era right?  Whoops of course Brog, just looked on net it is track 5 on Rising.  Guess I will go read some more…..quick study.

Rule 2 -Try to be Creative by Not Trying

(Note: It being December I usually get quite low but am trying to list a few of my past creative projects or incidents....these are mostly just impromptu ideas that seem to come from somewhere else.)

 LIFE IS A CARNIVAL.... 10 plus years ago a deaf kids group wanted a Saturday Carnival , you know with balloons,  perhaps a clown, some arcade games like bean bag toss, catching little toys in a fake swimming pool. Most parents brought darts, mini bowling.

My friend Willie and I created barracde wall out of cardboard to stand "protected" behind. We would polk our heads over the wall or out the little hatch doors....nah na nah na Bet You can't get ME!

  Now for two tickets a kid could 3 or 4 little FLOUR BOMBS= flour wrapped in cheese cloth and rubber band.  Really mom we tried to wear safety glasses so as to not get flour in our eyes....ok it did kinda go in your mouth.... As you can guess and see in a few minutes it was pretty out of control, the ticket system forgotten, the kids all over....running the booth....flour on the ceiling, bowling abandoned, screams and direct hits ruled.

Note clock time is 11:20. That is little Sam below and BT and Willie....GET THEM!

Now look just just an hour and half later. The adults have been replaced or captured...the kids launch double flour bombs OUT FROM THE CASTLE.....I think we got a few into the crepe paper fish pond next booth over.  Some other parents were kinda glad we had set up over in that far corner.....although they kinda noticed most of the kids were there too.....

Here is one more picture where I always like to point out in my videos COSTUMES BY-BLAME MY MOM. Of course what I mean by this is she gets the credit for many of my antics, she and Dad too...I suppose she would say they just put up with me, but I figure there is some Gene Pool component too, so thanks Mom and Dad.

We had flour floor.   

The other idea was kinda combo blame my mom and myself....i mean credit...well depending.

I do have pictures somewhere of this but names have been changed to protect the families....

                FEED BROGAN BOOTH.              

Mom cooked up a big pan of instant mashed potatoes and a pretty ample bowl of peas. We set those out on a small table. I was right behind a cardboard wall with cut outs for head and arms....you know like one of those stockade things. With my hands free I could use sign language

I AM HUNGRY ..PLEASE FEED ME!

For 2 tickets a kid could have a big soup spoon and feed me. Yum yum. You can guess.......food fight....lucky I wore my safety glasses, THOSE PEAS ARE STILL HOT!

Again the other parents kinda wondered about all the mayhem....lucky we had put down another tarp in our corner so we were done  cleaning up by dark.....may have missed a few peas in those light fixtures....

I am still recovering from trip to BruceLand but thought I'd mention quickly  my Annual Star Party 2013 will be next week....

Sunday 8/11 to Monday 8/12.

  For you usual friends and folks this should not be a surprise ....it has been on Aug 11/12/13 for 25 some years with me and before that of course the  PERSEID METEOR SHOWER has been occurring on these same dates for  a few hundred years, maybe more like way more...have to look that up.

I often have full description with menu details ( sausage/ huckleberry pancakes, bake potatoes) and Map ( exit 63) and equip list ( pad and remember your shoes brog) ...but right now I got to find my car 

and run some cash down to Seattle Public Utilities so they do not turn off the town houses' water ......ok ok I did leave a few things on my list when I flew off to Paris.

JUST IN CASE YOU ARE NEW AND I DON'T GET BACK TO MORE DETAILS....... ask around .. my star party is fun easy to get to ( about an hour) sometimes coldish....and we see always around 100 shooting stars = meteors ..one year with 42 people we counted 385. Most years with more like 15 or 20 friends we see 122 or if cloudy then only 85. I have left seattle in the drizzle  and full cloud cover to find the mountain ( over the Pass)  broken clouds getting to sun/clear. ...in 22 years i think Willie and 1 were skunked like one time.  ..then there is the famous  2  +1/2 hour Aurora show of ? 2002...made headlines on that Paisley LIght show...i still swear I could hear them....

Look it is about an hour drive up to a mountain road (X 63..cabin creek) then up a shortish log road ( 2122 of course, not making that up) to the very top at about 4000 feet. Just car camping at usual spot, if you forgot to check the people list and don't fit well just an hour and you are home or 12 minutes to the real bathroom at the Pass.

Added tasty bonus tracks== Owen's Meats in Cle Elum and Lake Easton Park cold dip/clean off/ nap. ..Also potential XXX Root Beer stop on way home..but usual we are too sleepy to do more than a RB float...

Some have come at after midnight and gotten up at 6 am to get to work....you know like the MYSTERY FAMILY  who comes and goes every year, still who knows who they were??

We always go on the Peak which is Monday morning......I checked 7 websites and majority say Peak is Sun/Mon...yeah the paper etc say just this weekend...yeah yeah..that is when "Bob" comes on Saturday night.

But really Sunday will be best, hope for clear skys,,,, hmm if not could be a fast upgrade? never happen before....

Bring some pad or chair we stay up mostly then nap till like 2 am is best and then they start working, the small moon sets about midnight i think?  I can get cold and windy so they tell me, I never wear socks or ? 

I will bring some stove some water some meats and mustard. If you want coffee bring that.  No political canvasing allowed ( joke from 1996), No green pea soup please ...hmm unless it is warm.

Follow the orange flagging...carpool or watch out for many rocks and ditches esp towards the last 1/2 mile it is rough and perhaps closed like they threaten every year....

What else. I bring a big big tarp and we just plank out on pads and such and as Jack Horkheimer says  KEEP LOOKING UP....

See you there or read about it online. Oh yeah some possible cell phone service up there...heck you can see Alaska from there....also I-90.

Note if you let me know you are coming I can send more actual details and more importantly buy enough buns and hot dogs and ...heck something else, what is it? ...every year i forget something....a hat, no no something like to eat , toilet paper?

5.       No alcohol is permitted to be brought on site, bar will be open from 12-6pm on Sat and Sun – serving beer and wine..so get very drunk BEFORE you roll into someone's tent. 

6.       Restaurant on site is open from 7.30am – 6pm Sat and Sun When you are not here.....

7.       Showering times advised on arrival, line up at the hose in back. NO HAY OR STRAW,

8.       Any damage done to Camp Hub tents will incur a fine or castration. 

9.       Only persons wearing Camp Hub wristband will be allowed entry to campsite, the sorting pens.and on to shuttle buses – if lose your wristbands you can be branded. Pick Cow or Sheep please.

10.   Shuttle buses will run from 11am to 3am Sat and Sun, they will run in a constant loop according to demand except when really needed, then call our closed number and ..well just get Morris Taxi. 

11.   Please see map at Camp Hub to see drop off, pick up points, you guess is better than mine.

12.   Bottled water will be on sale at Camp Hub €22 plus Ę 9 deposit.

13.   And most of all…. Remember to take care and enjoy yourself this weekend! ..should you survive.

Here are the SLEEPING PENS... This one is for sheep. The other for cows, no bull . I picked to count sheep for better sleep.... Besides the manure was not as deep.

Here is my favorite flyer off their front door. Gee...sign me up!?

My other roomate/tent mate decided to take her pad outside near the Garbage Dumpster Area. SE says the birds kept the rats away...and only a few sheep and cow dung piles around so did not smell as bad as inside. This felt like a brother/sister homeless under the bridge situation. In fact several people checked to see of she was breathing as they walked by.

Of course they did open the small door at about 2 am ..just enough to let in ..a bit of "fresh air " ..,smoke from the group of Security Staff outside.

As to the tent size..many had their feet sticking out the door because pretty small. And two people fills sideways...you must turn over at same time.

- some toilets are damaged but paper is there most of the time, no papertowels for handwashing (but you´ll bring you´re own), be sure to share the soap, because when its out, we dont give you more. 
- chairs are there to share, so for 400 people there are about 30, but don´t use them between 0-6 am if you get one
- people might not know that its an sleeping-and relaxingarea so don´t disturb while they have a party
- If you´ll be hungry after your concert, our restaurant is closed. Booth on a fun fair is around : hotdog only €6
- all this little service you´ll get for €100 one night or €182 for 2 nights, breakfast not incl., takes min. €10 for pers./day

Actually pretty sleepy but sort of feels like a need a good queue or roll call to join...or hey even organize.

Brogan back to Seattle

Waiting at Dublin Airport....lots o happy zombies shuffling along here.... Lucky I found a Free Fast Cart....so I picked up some speed and launched to Seattle via refueling depot stop at Frankfurt .

Brogan Breaks into BruceLAND

Since my arrival at Paris, my 1st ever concert, i have been trying to break into BruceLAND .

Talked to guard at Stade de France....only wanted a quick pic. Little did he know I'd get "lost".

Went down several secret stairs with new buddy Timothy...we found the Green Room. Pics of Bruce on the wall....my fake badge was working fine. Noticed his massage room...of course any KEEP OUT ROPE for me means YES STEP OVER. My shirt picked up his sweat...gad ....I'll never wash that shirt!

Next I got into Stade de Geneve ..but so dark at 2:22 am the pics did not turn out...plus I was kinda running hard .

In Leipzig my rope /carabiner rigging malfunctioned and camera fell into that access pipe...oh well...

Cardiff I found a few good doors...but those guys were like Really BIG and pretty mean. (Actually they were nice but NO WAY WAS I GETTING IN! )

And wow when I grabbed that white chair( I need to sit down man!) Feisty Little Liz was all over me, even grabbed my hat...I think she got some kinda award?

My hotel now in Frankfurt == 202. ... I first had 127 but it was smelly smoking room so asked for new room.....much better smelling and them"correct number"

Got up early ready for quick taxi to airport .nice sharing. BruceLand stories with driver,Darin ..lots of time so go get board pass.....hmmmm..?..where Aer Lingus?...maybe mistake...really easyJet?...check my grid...here is picture of my 2nd fast cab of the day...

So I run run and make it to gate just in time....no time to pee..just like Bruce 

Of course I give out a button and tell my story to some Irish fans, Ernie and Lynn , meet such great people here...all Bruce family...oh oh. Got to run to roll call ....

Gave button and chatted with pilot of plane....he missed Bruce had to work boo Hoo que lástima 

More great visit with my German cousins, Hamburg style!

They even had a nice system for bed warmer 

Then breakfast was a dream...even kaviar paste..

Of course later that day we ate some more.....

First stop the Hamburg Beach on top of parking garage...a great concept

Then the food, the GREST food just kept coming.....

Then we drove home in my new LAMBORGHINI 

Welcome to Le Gastrocomic London Scene ...again

Well had a nice flight from Hamburg (land of real food...) to London ( land of disappointment or worse)'

Check into my airport hotel and spot a menu for some midnight desert ...oh yum here's a parfait sundae for two or scrumptious fudge brownie.....

I go down to the restaurant and find it is sort of closed but still can get some simple...so I go for the chocolate ice cream with fudge topping...keep it simple right!?

Heck even looks good in the picture...

I pay the 5 pounds...which is somewhere between 88 cents and $9.50

So the large cup/ bowl arrives.

Guy " umm sorry mate the freezer is on the fritz, so most of the stuff is melting...the ice cream got pretty soft...soupy. But should be still...ok?..?...and oh yeah I couldn't find the fudge sauce stuff., ok?"

At least he brought me a soup spoon....

...not sure if I will go for the warm breakfast tomorrow....it is just eggs right? ..description sounds good...

but I don't know. ...with both an airport hotel restaurant AND in London...that could be a risky combo?

Might make for a fun pic/story at least. Boy I wish I had a Germany roll or croissant ....how can they be called English Muffins when they taste like sorta your sock?

Course they seem to interesting Hash Browns....

I would probably write the ad copy...==> HASH BROWNS, YOU KEEP 'EM ..really that is the slick tasty ad for these ...yikes?..yuk..?

Still GOOD FOOD in Germany

Don't worry Mom I am staying well fed in Germany....excellent meals by my cousins, and good restaurants all over.

Here Thomas stuffs me with famous Nuremberg Sausage.

Tech note Nuremberg sausage was created way back very small diameter to fit through keyholes in jail cells.  Yummy.

Classic Wiener schnitzel at secret family brewhaus shared with cousin Thomas 

Even the non alcohol was great .

Big BBQ at Munchen cousin Frederik and extended family. They just kept grilling the sausage.

Mom you would love this, forget the name but basically BACON ON A STICK...lots of crispy fat...Sophie and Myla loved a bunch of them ...Myla was not too picky actually. 

I wish I had my Barcelona buddy Albert to slurp down some of these Nuremberg sausages . Yum yum.

This is the extra " snack food" snacken&sparen from the Kraus kitchen, dank Katrin and Frederik for a great stay and send off....however your outdoor shower needs a little better trained hose boy....I think he was having more fun than focusing on my shower....
